A marketing professional and procurement expert with extensive experience, Marc has been a champion for Marketing Communications for 31 years. Having managed hundreds of high profile Government behaviour change campaigns and campaigns for the private and third sector, Marc is able to provide 'end to end' specialist consultancy across strategy development, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Hired to create 'a centre for direct marketing excellence within Government' over the years Marc built a 50+ strong professional team with a peak spend of some £60m building the Government's use and appreciation of the value of direct in the media mix.
Working on campaigns as important as diverse as Tobacco Education, Armed Forces Recruitment Pension Credit, Change 4 Life to Preparing for Emergencies and preventing Cot Death, Marc has provided consultancy services for just about every major department and public body including BIS, Home Office, Treasury dealing with Chief Executives of major agencies and suppliers and civil service clients up to ministerial level. Marc encouraged the growth of direct mail, email, door to door, inserts, field and experiential marketing SMS and digital in Government. He is also an authority on Contact Centres and CRM.
Encouraging integration, he also spent two and half years at COI as an Advertising Group Head running large campaigns for the Army, RAF, Health and DWP.
For the last five years he has worked as Director of Strategy and Insight at Paragon Customer Communications running the planning and analytics and more recently the creative functions.
As a freelance designer, he has always encouraged creative excellence, stressing the need for great copy and has a reputation for honest and open feedback valued by pitching agencies.
Marc is also known for promoting the use of data in analysis, profiling and segmentation and for leading the way in 'actionable' evaluation. He created the concept of the award winning Artemis response analysis service and led COI’s evaluation team, developing methodologies and tools to tackle the challenge of evaluation in a ‘behaviour change’ environment.
A qualified procurement officer he also set up and renewed COI’s direct frameworks (on five occasions) together with aggregated arrangements with core suppliers (data, inbound calling, inserts and doordrops) as well as tendering, evaluating negotiating and setting up many specific contracts across all direct and advertising media channels.
A regular and sought after presenter at industry conferences and training events and for comment in the industry press, Marc has also served on various industry bodies and chaired and judged countless industry awards.
